Product Update | August 26, 2026
We rebuilt the KleerCard dashboard, released August 14, 2026. Most things still do the same job, but a number of them moved, changed name, or now sit behind a different button. This article covers the 20 changes people ask about most.
Three changes you will see on every page
1. The main action button moved to the top right, and some buttons now hide a second action.
The green button that used to sit in the toolbar above the table is now an outline button in the top header bar. This applies to Request a card, New vendor, Add bill, New request, and Quick add.
Several of these are now split buttons with a small arrow on the right. The second action lives in that dropdown:
- Download CSV is inside the Request a card dropdown on the Cards page.
- Upload is inside the New vendor dropdown on the Vendors page.
- Invite existing user is inside the Quick add dropdown on the Users page.
2. Filters are now a funnel icon.
The labeled Filters button was replaced by a funnel icon next to the search box. On Charges and Transaction reports, each filter you apply appears as a chip above the table that you can remove one at a time, or clear all at once.
Search also got more specific. Instead of a generic Search box, each page tells you what it searches, for example "Search by merchant, card, or amount" on Charges.
The "Needs Action filter" is in the primary charge filter now.
3. Settings has its own menu now, and Log out moved.
Settings used to open on a page of category cards. It now opens directly into Company profile, and the main sidebar is replaced by a settings menu grouped into Company, Accounting, Payments, and Integrations. Use Back to portal to return to the main dashboard.
Log out is no longer on the My account page. Click your name in the bottom left corner of the sidebar, then Log out.
Users and roles
4. Team is now Users.
What used to be Team > Manage users is now Settings > Users. Approvers and delegates can be managed in Settings > Approvers and delegates.
5. Roles were renamed.
- Company Admin is now Admin.
- Employee is now Standard.
- Site Manager is unchanged.
The permissions behind each role did not change, only the labels.
6. Reset Password and Force Sign Out are no longer in the user row menu, and Email is read only.
The three dot menu on a user row now offers Edit profile, Manage approvers, and Deactivate. Reset Password, Force Sign Out, and Manage defaults are no longer there. If a user cannot get in, have them use the password reset link on the login page, or contact us and we will help.
Inside Edit profile, the Email field is now read only for the admin. Email addresses are changed through a dedicated change email flow by the user rather than by editing the profile.
7. Company profile is edited in place.
There is no longer an Edit profile button. The fields are editable as soon as you open the page, and you save with Save changes.
Approvals
8. The three approval queues became one page.
Card requests, Bills and reimbursements, and Fund requests used to be separate pages. They are now a single My approvals page. Transaction reports is still its own page.
9. Approvals now show step progress and waiting time.
Two new columns were added. Approval shows where an item sits in a multi step chain, for example "1 of 2". Waiting shows how long it has been sitting, for example "10 days".
10. Approval settings split into two pages.
What was one Approval settings page is now:
- Settings > Approval rules for building and ordering the rules themselves. Steps can now be dragged into order, and a rule can name a role, such as Transaction Report Approver, instead of a specific person, with a fallback approver behind it.
- Settings > Card and transaction approvals for the organization wide approval settings.
Requesting cards
11. The card request wizard was rebuilt.
The numbered bar across the top was replaced by a labeled list down the left: Card Details, Card Controls, Default Accounting, Card Policies, Review. You move with Prev and Next, and close with the x in the top right.
12. Card policy toggles now read the opposite way. Check them before you submit.
The policy toggles were reworded from negative to positive, which means the switch position that used to mean one thing now means the other. For example, "Disable auto generated receipt under $75" is now "Create auto receipts under $75". Turning it on now produces the behavior that turning the old toggle off used to produce.
Each toggle now has a line of explanatory text under it. Read those on your first few card requests rather than setting the switches from memory.
Accounting
13. Segment settings are all on one page now.
Your accounting segment names have not changed. Segment 1 through Segment 5 are placeholders, and you rename them to whatever your organization uses, such as Department, Fund, Location, or Grant. That still works the same way.
What changed is where you set them up. You used to open one segment at a time by selecting it in the Type dropdown and clicking the gear icon. All of them now sit together on a single Chart of accounts settings page, each with its own "Use this segment" and "Auto-assign as parent" toggles.
14. Chart of accounts: Add and Import moved to the top.
Add and Upload moved from the toolbar to the top header, and Upload is now called Import. The Type dropdown, gear icon, and All dropdown were replaced by the funnel filter.
15. Universal exports moved, and Create became Save.
Universal exports used to sit under Integrations. It is now under Accounting in the settings menu.
When you build a new export, the button that finishes it changed from Create at the bottom right to Save at the top right. The preset cards are also laid out in two columns now instead of one.
Wallet and bank accounts
16. The Wallet Add Money panel became a Top up now button.
The inline Add Money and Withdraw panel was replaced by a single Change Reserve button. Set it at your preferred Wallet funding amount, and we'll keep it there through regular top-ups.
Two things were added: a Funding source section showing the bank on file with a "+ Connect another" option, and a chart of your wallet balance over time.
17. You can have more than one bank account, and one is marked PRIMARY.
The single "Active account" was replaced by a Linked bank accounts list showing every connected account with its status. The account marked PRIMARY is the one used to pay statements, pay ACH bills, and fund your wallet. Change which one is primary from the three dot menu on its row, and add a new one with "+ Add account" in the top header.
"Check printing details" is now called Check account, and it is only needed if you send checks.
Charges, reports, and statements
18. Charges Table Column Order can be edited
The Amount column used to sit just after Card, but It is now the last column. Drag and drop columns to reorder, and every column header can now be sorted.
The filter panel was reorganized into groups you can search through, and a Sync Status filter was added.
19. Transaction reports open on In review, and two toggles are gone.
The page used to default to Complete. It now defaults to In review, meaning the reports waiting on you. If a report you expected is missing, clear or change the status filter chip at the top.
20. Statement IDs dropped the ST- prefix, and you can sync a statement to QuickBooks.
A statement that read ST-000510293 now reads 512338. It is the same statement, without the prefix and leading zeros.
The download icon on each row was replaced by a three dot menu, and a page level Download button was added in the top right. Inside a statement, Download now lives in the dropdown next to Mark as Complete, and there is a new Sync with QuickBooks Online action.
