Product Update | September 9, 2026

Updates and fixes released this week

Support chat is back in the app
  • Inline support chat is available again from within KleerCard, and the Help icon now opens our knowledge base.
Larger receipt and invoice uploads
  • Photos are now resized automatically before uploading, including JPEG and HEIC photos taken on an iPhone. This applies to charges, bills, and reimbursements. If a file still can't be uploaded, the message now tells you why.
Sync to accounting skips uncoded charges
  • Before a sync runs, any charge without an expense account, along with anything already synced, is listed and skipped rather than failing in your accounting software. You can code those charges and sync them after.
Edit an invited user's email address
  • You can now correct an invited user's email address at any point before they accept their invitation.
Download statements from the list view
  • Download CSV and Download PDF are now on the statement list, so you no longer need to open each statement first.
Shipping addresses for new admins
  • New company admins now receive the company address on their profile, and the card order screen falls back to the company address if a profile doesn't have one. Ordering a physical card no longer requires editing the profile first.
Cards and charges
  • Clicking a charge in a card's Recent Charges list opens it again for viewing, editing, and receipts, the same as on the Charges page.
  • On the Home and My Spend view, the card area no longer collapses under a long list of recent charges, so you can move between cards.
  • Card history for reloadable cards now shows a true record of adds, reductions, and spend, rather than a view that made funds appear to be missing. Available to spend was always correct.
  • When a card is declined, cardholders now see the specific reason for it, such as an incorrect billing address, an expired card, or a mistyped security code. Previously many of these showed only as "Declined by network."
Names and addresses
  • Changing a name or address on a user's profile now updates everywhere that user appears, so printed cards and cardholder names stay current.
Statements and payments
  • Statement CSV downloads now include every refund shown on the PDF, so the CSV total matches the statement.
  • A completed statement can be marked incomplete again.
  • Settled deposits into your wallet no longer stay stuck as pending, so those funds show as available.
  • Check numbers that went missing during the platform update have been restored for completed check payments.
Bills and vendors
  • The Universal Export setting "show expenses as negative" applies correctly.
  • Data restored in Paid bills in My Approvals, Bill history now names the person who resubmitted a bill rather than showing "Someone," Older ACH payment methods show the last four digits of the routing number, and a vendor's default payment method displays correctly.
  • Deleting vendors in bulk now removes them fully so they don't reappear.
  • Submitted bills now always require a reference number before they can be submitted for approval. This closes a path where a bill could be submitted without one and then stall.
    • A rejected bill can now be updated and sent back for approval without starting over, the same way drafts work.
      • Your company's default bill approval rule can no longer be switched off, which previously caused bills to silently fail to save. If yours is already off, the screen now tells you.
      Reports and approvals
      • Transaction reports in review now go to the approver you configured. We also added a fallback order so a report always reaches someone: the user's transaction approver, then the company transaction approver, then the company default card approver, then the longest-standing active company admin.
      • Adding two or more accounts, vendors, cards, or cardholders to a report filter now returns every matching line instead of a blank report.
      • Approvers who were able to review transaction reports on behalf of someone else before the platform update can do so again. Access that was intentionally removed stays removed.
      Notifications
      • Needs Action reminders now respect your company's lookback period, so they reflect what your team actually needs to act on.
      • The one-click Needs Action filter is also back on the Charges tab.
      Coding and reimbursements
      • When you select a segment, expense accounts without a parent stay available alongside that segment's accounts, on charges, bills, and reimbursements.
      • Adding mileage to an internal reimbursement now uses your company's configured mileage rate.
      Accounting integrations
      • Settings, then Integrations, then Accounting no longer labels your default credit card, accounts payable, bank, or fund accounts as "Inactive" when that status only reflects your KleerCard chart of accounts. Syncing was never affected; the label was misleading.
      Sync performance
      • Syncing a large batch of charges or bills no longer times out with a "KleerCard is temporarily unavailable" message. The sync completes and returns your results.
