Understanding Your KleerCard Weekly Organizational Limit
What Is the Weekly Organizational Limit?
Every KleerCard account has an overall weekly credit limit that applies to your entire organization — not just individual cards. This is KleerCard's control to manage spend across your team.
When your organization's weekly limit is reached, all cards will decline until the limit resets — even if individual cards still have available funds.
Why Weekly?
KleerCard credit card accounts operate on a fixed weekly payment cycle. Payments are not triggered by hitting your limit — they occur automatically each week on a set schedule. The weekly organizational limit works alongside this cycle to keep your account in good standing.
The Two Types of Limits
It helps to think of KleerCard limits in two layers:
- Organizational weekly limit — KleerCard's control. It caps total spend across all cardholders within the week.
- Individual card limits — Your admin controls. Admins can set monthly or reloadable spending limits on each card directly in the portal.
Every transaction checks both: that the individual card has available funds, and that the organization's weekly limit hasn't been reached. Both must pass for a transaction to go through.
Where Can I See Our Weekly Limit?
Admins can view your organizational limit and available balance by logging into the KleerCard portal. For specific limit details, contact your account manager or reach out to support@kleercard.com.
What If We Need a Higher Limit or Longer Payment Cycle?
If your organization's spending regularly reaches the weekly limit, there are two options:
- Request a limit increase — Contact your account manager with your business justification (upcoming event, seasonal spike, etc.). Increases are subject to underwriting review.
- Switch to a biweekly or monthly payment cycle — Fund your KleerCard Wallet with a reserve balance equal to your expected biweekly or monthly spend. This extends your payment cycle without additional risk. See: What Is the Reserve Amount in Your KleerCard Wallet?
