# Why is My Card Not Working?

## Here are some quick troubleshooting steps to see why a card is not working.

If your card is declined at a merchant you can see the reason for the decline by going to the **Charges** tab and selecting "Declined Charges" in the Charges submenu.

Some common reasons your card may be declining are:

- Your card is not activated: Navigate to the **Cards** tab to see if your card is activated. If it is not you'll need to [activate your card](https://knowledgebase.kleercard.com/how-do-i-activate-my-physical-card?hsLang=en).
- You reached your company limit: Are your total charges across all cards in your account nearing your company credit limit? You can review your company balance by going to the **Home** tab, and then "company overview". - You reached your card limit: Is the card near the monthly spend limit? You can view this by going to the **Cards** tab and clicking on any one of your cards to view the remaining balance available on the card. If you find you've reached your monthly limit on your card you can ask one of your KleerCard account admins to edit the monthly limit to allow for additional charges. - A card specific control prevents the charge. Review controls by clicking into the card and reviewing details.
